All Points: Super Tuesday love

This is the year for Texas to flex its political muscle.

By joining 11 other states in holding primary elections on March 1, Texas put itself and its 155 Republican and 252 Democratic convention delegates in position to have real influence on the presidential election.

Sure enough, the large field of candidates on the Republican side and surprisingly strong competition on the Democratic side have meant Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina did not settle the contests.
