Donald Trump’s performance in the Feb. 13 Republican primary debate reminded me of a bull in a china shop: brash, charging around everywhere, impervious to any damage he might be causing. Please, voters, we don’t need someone like this.
Thomas F. Harkins Jr., Fort Worth
I couldn’t have been more appalled by the rude behavior of Donald Trump in the Feb. 13 GOP debate.
What did he think he was doing by interrupting and calling other candidates names? Get the man some help, but please do not put him in the Oval Office. As a Republican, I can’t fathom Trump as my leader.
Jean King, Fort Worth
The sincerity of “I want to make America great again” is trumped (pun intended) by “I might run as an independent,” thereby handing the presidency to Hillary Clinton. Anyone — conservative, that is — but Trump.
Don Ponder, Fort Worth
I voted for Ted Cruz as a conservative Republican for the U.S. Senate. I now deeply regret this.
Ted Cruz has no friends or supporters in the Senate. A president needs to work with members of Congress. I don’t see this happening with Cruz.
We need a candidate who can beat Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders and win a national election. Cruz is not that candidate.
Brenda Wright, Arlington
Sen. Cruz is the only candidate who has the unwavering principle to uphold the Constitution. His Senate votes have reflected that commitment, regardless of the lack of popularity of some of the votes.
I’m proud to back a senator and presidential candidate who voted against President Obama’s bloated $1.1 trillion omnibus spending package.
President Cruz will defend the Constitution regardless of how the liberal media and pundits portray him.

Fort Worth
