Texas’ political women

Texas politics has always been a great show! We love a good fight, especially between a man and a woman!

Remember the great battle in 1990 between Democrat Ann Richards and Republican Clayton Williams? Claytie dealt himself a death blow when he said of rape: “If it’s inevitable, just relax and enjoy it.’”

Ann Richards was smart, a great public speaker with a biting wit. Remember her convention speech? “Poor George [H.W. Bush], he can’t help it. He was born with a silver foot in his mouth.”

Texas politics has given us other great women, including Ma Ferguson, Molly Ivins and Barbara Jordan!

Now, it is time for another extraordinary Texas woman to lead the way with:

Vote Wendy Davis!
