Auto-renewal is another reason to use the library

The library is a wonderful public resource, especially during those long, hot summer months when no outdoor activity can beat an afternoon spent lounging on the couch with a good book.

But for many library patrons, the last-minute rush to renew materials just before their due date is a hassle they’d just rather do without.

For others, late fees that accrue on books eligible for renewal can negate the benefits of borrowing library materials in the first place.

Thanks to the Fort Worth Library’s auto-renew program, library users have even more incentive to keep up their borrowing habits.

The new service automatically renews eligible items on their due date for the full renewal period without the need to bring them into a branch or to renew them online.

Library patrons should receive an email notifying them of their auto-renewal, but they can confirm online as well, just to be sure.

That will save a trip to the library and ensure plenty more time to finish everything on that summer reading list.
