Fort Worth wants you to come and explore this spring break and Easter weekend.

Warm temperatures, a baby gorilla and free museum admissions made the first half of spring break great for families and youngsters.

The Fort Worth Zoo had half-price admission Wednesday, while the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth opened its doors on Monday for a free admission day.

Although spring break is ending soon, activities are far from gone. Easter weekend is approaching.

Not only are the museums, Stockyards, parks and other areas great places to spend your weekend, you have Six Flags Over Texas amusement park with its new ride just down the highway.

But even if you want to stay away from crowds or don’t have a lot of cash to spend, just go and explore the city.

Visit the Huong Dao Buddhist Temple on Rosedale Street, find all the historical signs downtown or spend the day enjoying the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge.

The weather is too nice to stay indoors.
