Don’t forget: Runoff elections Saturday

A friendly reminder: Saturday is Election Day for Tarrant County runoff elections.

The Star-Telegram Editorial Board has studied closely contested races and issues and has published recommendations for voters to consider. Here’s a recap of our recommendations:

Fort Worth City Council District 2: Carlos Flores

“Flores, with his deep knowledge and understanding of local government, stands ready to serve the residents of District 2. He is someone who will put into productive action his many years of public service.”

Arlington City Council District 3: Roxanne Thalman

“Thalman ... has more experience working with city leaders and has taken more of a leadership role in city organizations than [Marvin] Sutton.”

Arlington City Council District 5: Lana Wolff

“Wolff ... has long represented downtown Arlington and talks about ‘many projects’ she is fired up about.”

Mansfield School Board Place 6: Darrell Sneed

“Sneed has not only seen the growth of the district, but understands what concerns will need attention.”
