The daily STEW

The daily STEW (Star-Telegram Editorial Writers): A limited number of theaters nationwide, including Alamo Drafthouse theaters in Dallas and Richardson, will screen the Sony movie The Interview on Christmas Day. Does the publicity surrounding alleged hacking of Sony’s computers by North Korea make you want to see the film?

Didn’t want to see it before. Still don’t want to see it. Ron Glover

It seems like a publicity stunt to get a wider audience interested in the movie. Many people who weren’t interested in watching the movie are now suddenly determined to watch it. Whether it was a marketing ploy or not, the movie is now going to gross much more money. Dennis Thomas

Makes me want to stay as far away from the theater as possible! Monika Shaffer

I have no desire to see it, but I’m glad we are not letting a foreign country determine whether we show a movie or not. Darla Murray

According to reports on CBS national news it was an inside job from an ex-employee. Sony will not lose any money in the long run. F Karl Banks

I wanted to see it, regardless. A little upset that so few theaters are showing it [Christmas Day] and that they’re already sold out. Justin Williams

Hmmm. I am a Seth Rogan fan, but I hadn’t planned on seeing this film — I just wasn’t interested. But I have to say this North Korea thing really got under my skin, so yes I will now go see this film. Tyrees Allen

No! Not ever. There’s enough evil in the world. If anyone threatened our president, we wouldn’t find it humorous (At All). No I would not attend. Willa Moore
