September sizzles its way into record books
Temperatures soared into the 90s again Wednesday, putting this September in the record books as one of the warmest on record.
As a cold front moves in, however, the rest of the week should feel more like fall than summer, especially this weekend, when morning temperatures will dip into the 50s.
“It will feel a little crisp Saturday night and Sunday morning,” said Lamont Bain, National Weather Service meteorologist.
As summer gives way to fall, here’s a look at the weather from the official recording station at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport:
82.7 degrees, average temperature in September, No. 5 all-time
93 degrees, average high in September, tied for No. 8 all-time
