Lingering showers, thunderstorms expected for North Texas into early afternoon Monday
Following overnight storms Sunday night, rain in North Texas will continue into early afternoon Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Lingering showers and thunderstorms are expected to slowly taper off in the region by late Monday morning into late afternoon with the highest rain chances in Central Texas.
According to the weather service, there is still a possibility for a few strong thunderstorms with gusty winds and small hail in North Texas. Heavy rainfall in some areas is also possible, but the local flooding impacts could be limited.
On Monday, highs will range from the mid 60s to low 70s, according to the weather service.
