A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for North Texas until 10 p.m. Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

The watch includes all counties in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

A few strong to severe storms will be possible and may produce gusty winds, heavy rain and frequent lightning, according to the NWS forecast.

Temperatures will remain hot, with a high around 99 degrees in Fort Worth today.
