North Texas is in for a rainy Memorial Day.

Isolated and scattered storms are expected to drench parts of North Texas into Monday evening, according to the National Weather Service office in Fort Worth.

Much like late Sunday afternoon and evening, the storms could include hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain, according to the forecast.

And the wet weather isn’t going anywhere: Widespread thunderstorms will move east across North Texas Tuesday night into Wednesday. The National Weather Service says the severe weather threat is low, but that an isolated severe wind gust cannot be ruled out.

Chances of rain will continue throughout the week and storms with hail, lightning and gusty winds are possible. The NWS cautions that a low flooding threat is expected where storms revisit the same locations.
