When will rain chances return to North Texas? Hint: It will be a while

This weekend will be warm and dry in North Texas.

Daily highs have been up and down over the month, ranging from the upper 50s to the low 80s over the past 12 days, according to National Weather Service Fort Worth data. Overnight lows have been chilly, but the region has yet to reach freezing temperatures thus far.

The rest of this week will be warm and dry, with temperatures in the low 80s, according to the NWS.

Those conditions will persist over the weekend and into early next week, as no rain is in sight. Overnight lows will largely stay in the low 60s over the next several days.

Rain returns next week

An approaching storm system has been trending slower, which means rain chances will not return until the middle of next week.

As of Thursday, it’s unclear when rain will return and how much to expect. As the days progress, the NWS will have a better look at what to anticipate.

Until then, it will be warm and dry in the Metroplex.

  • Thursday, Nov. 13- 80 degrees
  • Friday, Nov. 14- 81 degrees
  • Saturday, Nov. 15- 84 degrees
  • Sunday, Nov. 16- 84 degrees
  • Monday, Nov. 17- 87 degrees
  • Tuesday, Nov. 18- 79 degrees
  • Wednesday, Nov. 19- 75 degrees
