High winds causing hundreds of flight cancellations at DFW, Love Field airports

Hundreds of flights across Dallas Love Field and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport have been canceled Friday, March 14 due to high winds.

Both North Texas airports are asking passengers to check their flight status amid the high winds.

“High winds may disrupt travel today. Please verify your flight status directly with your airline,” Dallas Love Field posted on X.

A high wind warning is in effect until 7 p.m. Friday for several parts of North Texas, including Fort Worth and Dallas, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Some areas could see wind gusts near 60-65 mph Friday.
