Warm, sunny weekend ahead for Fort Worth as storms exit. Here’s how much it rained
Showers and storms will exit North Texas over the late morning hours on Thursday, Jan. 30.
Much of the Metroplex saw rain over Wednesday, Jan. 29, and overnight into Thursday, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. As of 11 a.m. Thursday, the NWS said some of the highest rainfall totals over the stretch included 4.61 inches in east Fort Worth and 4.13 inches at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
Storms will continue shifting east across the Metroplex over late Thursday morning, according to the NWS. Mostly cloudy skies will transition to sunny throughout the day as highs stick around the upper 60s.
Warm and sunny weekend ahead
Temperatures are expected to climb above normal this weekend and though early next week, according to the NWS.
Daily highs on Friday, Jan. 31, will be in the mid-60s, followed by temperatures right around 70 degrees on Saturday, Feb. 1. Temperatures will poke into mid to upper 70s over Sunday, Feb. 2 and into early next week.
Sunny skies are expected throughout the weekend to match the warm weather, according to the NWS.
