When will rain arrive in Fort Worth? Here’s the latest on showers heading for North Texas

Another cool day is in store for North Texas, ahead of rain arriving over the weekend.

Temperatures will be in the mid-40s to mid-50s for much of the Metroplex on Thursday, Jan. 23, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Overnight lows will dip into the 20s.

Similar conditions are in the forecast for Friday, Jan. 24, and Saturday, Jan. 25, ahead of rainfall later Saturday evening.

Rain on the horizon for D-FW

Rain chances (20%) will enter the forecast late Saturday and continue into Sunday, Jan. 26.

Sunday holds a 40% chance of showers and storms, with the greatest chances for rain coming across Central and Southeast Texas, according to the NWS. Additional rain chances are in the forecast for next week.

As of Thursday, Jan. 23, there’s a 20% chance of rain late Tuesday, Jan. 28, leading into a 50% chance on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
