After a teaser of cool weather in early September, temperatures in North Texas will revert back to sweltering.

Summer isn’t over yet (it officially ends on Sept. 22), which means residents have to bear the heat for a little longer.

The Fort Worth National Weather Service says we can expect “warm and dry temperatures in the mid-80s to mid-90s both Monday and Tuesday.” The rest of the week will be high temperatures in the 90s with sunny, clear skies.

This week’s weather makes for low chances of rain or cooler temperatures by the weekend, said Miles Langfeild, a meteorologist with NWS Fort Worth.

When will it start to cool down?

The annual high temperature for September in Dallas-Fort Worth is 88.6 degrees, according to NWS data. October’s annual temperature is a tad lower at 78.4 degrees, followed by 66 degrees in November.
