A weak cold front is moving into Dallas-Fort Worth this weekend, bringing isolated storms to the area.

The cold front coming through on Saturday won’t bring any cooler weather to North Texas, said Miles Langfeld, meteorologist at the National Weather Service Fort Worth office.

Instead, the cold front will bring a 10% chance of storms to Dallas-Fort Worth over Saturday afternoon. Areas south of the Metroplex and around Central Texas will have better chances of storms, Langfeld said.

Beyond the tiny chance of storms this weekend, North Texas will stay dry and hot.

“Unfortunately, that’s really the only chance of rain for our area in the next seven days,” Langfeld said.
