Rain and temperatures under 90 are in the mix for Dallas-Fort Worth. Here’s when
Triple-digit heat is nowhere to be found this week in Dallas-Fort Worth as rain and cooler temperatures hang around.
The North Texas region has recorded eight days over 100 degrees this year thus far, per National Weather Service Fort Worth data. While it’s been warm, this summer has been slightly cooler compared to previous years.
Around a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the mix for Dallas-Fort Worth on Monday, NWS meteorologist Patricia Sanchez said.
Temperatures on Monday will be in the mid to upper 80s, with storm chances peaking in the afternoon and evening hours. Severe weather is not expected with Monday’s storms, Sanchez said.
Rain possible in Dallas-Fort Worth all week
After Monday’s storms, Dallas-Fort Worth will have low rain chances for the remainder of the week.
From Tuesday to Thursday, there’s about a 20% chance of storms each day, Sanchez said. Storm chances increase slightly going into Friday at 30%.
Over the weekend, storm chances will again hover around a 20-30% for Dallas-Fort Worth.
Temperatures will fluctuate between upper 80s to low 90s over the week, Sanchez said.
