After a cool start to the week, North Texas is in store for a mild and dry Thanksgiving.

Temperatures on turkey day will hover around 60 degrees, said Madi Gordon, meteorologist at the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.

The Metroplex is expected to stay dry on Thanksgiving Day, despite an increase in cloud coverage, Gordon said.

A cold front pushed into North Texas on Monday, which led way to cooler temperatures to start the week.

Tuesday and Wednesday’s high will be in the mid to upper 50s ahead of temperatures heating up slightly going into a 60 degree Thanksgiving Day.

By Friday, the weather will again remain in the low 60s, Gordon said.

A cold front moving into North Texas over the weekend will cool things down on Saturday and Sunday to the low to mid 50s.

“We’ll also have some low rain chances starting Saturday night,” Gordon said.
