Video shows funnel cloud near Texas Motor Speedway as storms roll through North Texas
A family captured a funnel cloud on video from their home between Northlake and the Texas Motor Speedway as powerful winds roared through Dallas-Fort Worth on Thursday.
The National Weather Service warned that winds gusts over 80 mph were expected as a line of severe thunderstorms rolled across North Texas.
Residents in Tarrant County, including Fort Worth and Arlington, were told to expect “wind speeds as strong as a weak tornado,” and stay away from windows, the weather service said.
