A cold front arrived Friday morning in North Texas, bringing with it north winds and more chilly temperatures to neighborhoods.

Officials at the National Weather Service in Fort Worth said Friday that there’s a 10% chance of light snow west of Fort Worth late Friday and early Saturday.

“Tarrant County could see light rain and light flurries,” said meteorologist Bianca Garcia at the NWS in Fort Worth on Friday. “It will be cold Friday.”

A few locations west of Interstate 35 could receive a short-lived dusting of snow on elevated surfaces. No travel impacts are anticipated.

The daytime high will be 48 on Friday and the temperatures on Saturday morning will be at 35.

Saturday daytime temperatures will be in the upper 40s.

North Texans will have cold temperatures Sunday morning and highs in the lower 50s during the day.

Rain chances return Sunday night as there will be a 30% chance in North Texas. Those chances increase to 40% on Monday.

Temperatures will begin to warm up through the Thanksgiving week. Daytime temperatures could reach the upper 50s and lower 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday.

North Texans could face more rain Wednesday and Thanksgiving. The NWS in Fort Worth has rain chances at 20%.
