Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Tarrant County Wednesday afternoon

Tarrant County is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 5:30 p.m. Wednesday as a severe storm was located over Haltom City around 5 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth said the storm could bring hail up to 3/4 inches and wind gusts of up to 60 mph. The storm was moving south at 15 mph, according to the weather service.

The storm is expected to impact Fort Worth, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Euless, Bedford, Grapevine, Haltom City, Keller, Coppell, Hurst, Southlake, Watauga, Colleyville, Benbrook, Saginaw, White Settlement, Forest Hill, Richland Hills, River Oaks and Kennedale before moving out of the area.

The same warning is in effect for Denton County.
