Some storms could become strong to marginally severe, with hail being the primary concern.
Highs for the rest of the week are expected to hang around in the mid- to upper-80s in Dallas-Fort Worth, with more rain possible from Saturday to Monday.
Some storms could become severe, but nothing is certain yet, according to the service.
Heavy rainfall is possible. The National Weather Service advised North Texans to keep an eye on the forecast for any updates on the likelihood of severe weather and heavy rain.
