TEXRail service was disrupted for around three hours early Thursday after a partial freight train derailment blocked some of the route, officials say.

Normal TEXRail service resumed Thursday morning after a blocked route caused a disruption, officials said.

“TEXRail Service between Northside Station and T&P Station will resume with West bound TEXR237 departing Northside Station at 1020. East bound service from T&P will resume with TEXR240 departing at 1043,” the transportation company posted on social media shortly after 8 a.m.

Trinity Metro announced shortly before 5 a.m. that all westbound trains would end service at the North Side Station and and the eastbound trains would begin service at the North Side Station. A partial freight train derailment blocked the route for a time.

Buses provided station connections between Fort Worth and North Side during the disruption.
