Rain causes flight arrival delays at DFW Airport; departures could also be affected
Passengers traveling through Dallas-Fort Worth Airport on Friday could face weather-related delays.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a traffic management program is in effect for arriving flights. Some arrivals have been delayed an average of 1 hour and 25 minutes. The delay in arrivals may cause some departing flights to run behind schedule as well.
FAA officials recommend passengers check with their airline to see if their specific flight is going to be delayed.
FlightAware reported zero flight cancellations as of 7:45 a.m.
According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected to continue throughout the day with a possible rainfall of 1 to 3 inches.
