Stretch of westbound I-30 in Arlington to close this weekend for bridge construction
Westbound Interstate 30 from Great Southwest Parkway to Ballpark Way in Arlington will be shut down for 24 hours starting Saturday night for bridge construction, the Texas Department of Transportation said.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes from 9 p.m. Saturday to 9 p.m. Sunday during the construction, TxDOT said.
In 2021, 244 workers and motorists were killed in work zones, TxDOT said in a release. The leading causes are believed to be speeding and driver inattention.
