One in critical condition following crash on Blue Mound Road; CareFlite launched

Fort Worth police, fire and MedStar responded to a single-vehicle crash in north Fort Worth, which left one person in critical condition, Thursday afternoon.

A MedStar representative said CareFlite was called to the scene of the accident in the 15300 block of Blue Mound Road/FM 156.

Police said the driver was speeding and lost control of the vehicle, which ended up wedged underneath a bridge. According to the initial incident report, the crash happened near Northwest High School.

The accident was reported shortly after 4 p.m. Police remain on the scene as of 5:20 p.m. and continue to investigate the incident.
