Fatal crash near Crowley still under investigation

Authorities are investigating a head-on collision that killed a driver late Sunday near Crowley, a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman said.

Tony Seigler, 46, of Crowley, died at 11:06 p.m. at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

Seigler was driving a 2004 Toyota Corolla southbound in the 11000 block of Farm Road 1902 when he began drifting into the northbound lane, said Trooper Dub Gillum, a DPS spokesman.

An oncoming car driven by a 36-year-old woman swerved into the southbound lane, trying to avoid Seigler’s car. Seigler’s car then swerved back into the southbound lane, hitting the woman’s car head-on, Gillum said.

The woman was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth in stable condition.
