Ernie's Texas Hot Chicken to spotlight local vendors before grand opening

Ernie's Texas Hot Chicken is inviting the community to celebrate local businesses this week with a vendor market ahead of the restaurant's grand opening.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at Golondrina Food Park, 10211 Golondrina Drive.

While a private tasting of Ernie's Texas Hot Chicken will be reserved for invited guests, influencers and content creators, owner Javier Garcia said the evening is centered on supporting fellow small businesses.

"We're celebrating more than just the launch of Ernie's Texas Hot Chicken, we're celebrating small businesses and our community," Garcia said. "We've invited an incredible group of local vendors to showcase their products and services because, as a small business ourselves, we believe in helping other small businesses grow."

Participating vendors include Red Nebula, Epoxy Y Mas, Day Dreamers, She Did That Designs, Alexandria's Pastries, Maypop Forest, Melkai Engraving and Jewelry, Fully Loaded TCG - The Vault Club, Big O'Salsas' Big Ox Carne Seca, Numar 3D Workshop, Porch Swing Sweets, The Cookie Lady, Happy Fresh Co. and Lik'd with Bri-elle.

Ernie's Texas Hot Chicken is scheduled to officially open Sunday.

"Bring your friends, support local, and be part of an exciting night as we introduce something new to Laredo," Garcia said.
