Authorities offer $5k reward for tips in hit-and-run that killed veteran walking in Converse
Crime Stoppers of San Antonio is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information about a hit-and-run crash that killed a veteran while he was walking last month in Converse.
Joseph Hudson, a 54-year-old veteran, was walking just after midnight June 6 in the 8100 block of Old Seguin Road when he was struck by a vehicle, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators believe the vehicle was a small- or midsize black SUV that left the scene after the crash.
Hudson died from blunt-force injuries, and the Bexar County Medical Examiner ruled his death an accident.
Crime Stoppers is seeking information that could help investigators identify the driver.
To be eligible for a reward, tips must be submitted directly to Crime Stoppers by calling 210-224-7867, using the P3 Tips app or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website.
All tips are anonymous. Tipsters who identify themselves are not eligible for a reward.
