WD places in eight categories at Texas Press
The Weatherford Democrat returned from Dallas recently with several awards from the Texas Press Association's 2025 Better Newspaper Contest:
- 2nd place in Feature Writing
- 2nd place in Sports Photography
- 3rd place for Best Magazine
- 4th place in Editorial
- 4th place in Feature Photography
- 4th place in Headline Writing
- 4th place in Page Design
More than 100 TPA member newspapers competed in the contest, with 1,020 entries.
