Laredo isn't slowing down after a holiday weekend filled with Fourth of July celebrations and FIFA World Cup excitement. This week offers another lineup of family-friendly events, outdoor activities and live entertainment.

Teen Summer Reading Program

The Laredo Public Library System's Teen Summer Reading Program continues this week with Game Day for incoming fifth through 12th grade students. Registration is available at laredolibrary.org.
Flying Through Life

Lake Casa Blanca International State Park continues its July ranger-led programming with Flying Through Life!, an interactive activity exploring how different animals begin their lives.
Free Family Fun Night sponsored by H-E-B

The Imaginarium of South Texas is hosting its monthly Free Family Fun Night, where children and their families can enjoy hands-on educational activities.
KAHZA at JardinXContreras
Friday, 8 p.m., JardinXContreras, 811 Iturbide St.
Japanese hard rock band KAHZA will perform in Laredo alongside local bands Phobos Monolith and Sinbiosis.
Doors open at 8 p.m. The event is limited to guests 21 and older. Admission is $5.
Laredo International Sister Cities Festival
Friday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday, Sames Auto Arena, 6700 Arena Blvd.
The 22nd annual Laredo International Sister Cities Festival returns with cultural exhibits, international vendors, live entertainment and workshops.
The event will also feature Lele Doll and Lele Headband workshops. Headband workshops are $25 per person, while Lele Doll workshops are $30 per person. Registration will be available on-site in Registration Room 2. Space is limited.
