Harmony West Texas earns more than $1.8M through state Teacher Incentive Allotment program

Harmony Public Schools West Texas District is celebrating a significant milestone after 154 teachers earned Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) designations from the Texas Education Agency during the 2025-26 academic year.

The achievement resulted in $1,815,462 in Teacher Incentive Allotment funding for the district, with 40.3% of Harmony West Texas teachers earning a state designation.

The Teacher Incentive Allotment is a statewide initiative designed to recruit, reward and retain outstanding educators. Through locally approved designation systems, teachers may earn one of three distinctions: Recognized, Exemplary or Master. These designations generate additional funding that supports teacher compensation and helps districts retain top talent.

For the 2025-26 academic year, individual allotments for Harmony West Texas teachers range from $4,283 to $22,264 annually.

Harmony's Midland and Odessa three campuses continue to expand educational opportunities across the Permian Basin while emphasizing STEM education, character development, and college and career readiness.
