San Antonio police officer indefinitely suspended after turning self in to face misdemeanor charge

A San Antonio police officer has been charged in connection with an off-duty incident that occurred last year, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Officer Zeth Scott, a six-year veteran of the department, surrendered to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with an off-duty incident that occurred in April 2025, police said Thursday.

Scott, 31, is charged with duty on striking a fixture or highway landscape involving damage of $200 or more. According to court records, he was released from the Bexar County Jail after posting a $1,000 bond.

The department said Scott was placed on administrative duty during the investigation and received an indefinite suspension June 9.

SAPD said it is not releasing additional details about the case at this time.
