Odessa's Got Talent is Saturday at Ector

Support the Permian Basin Mission Center while also enjoying top talent from Odessa during the annual Odessa's Got Talent.
The event is 7 p.m. Saturday at The Ector Theater. The annual event brings top local performers together for a competition to be named the top entertainer in Odessa while providing much needed funds for the PBMC.
Odessa's Got Talent Coordinator Cristy Batte said during the first quarter of 2026 the PBMC has already distributed more than 1,800 Emergency Food Boxes filled with fresh groceries including milk and meat, while also providing rent and utility assistance to struggling families.
"As fuel prices and the cost of everyday essentials continue to rise, we are seeing more families turn to PBMC for help, and we expect that demand to keep increasing in the months ahead," Batte said while encouraging Odessans to come out and support the family-friendly Odessa's Got Talent event.
"Supporting PBMC through Odessa's Got Talent, directly ensures families facing hardship can keep food on the table, the lights on, and a roof overhead," she added.
The PBMC team details on their website they focus their energies on finding innovative and sustainable ways to empower "everyone in the Permian Basin, we believe that our greatest resources are human!" The site details the group's belief is that no one should be hungry in our country.
PBMC provides free food boxes, rent assistance, utility bill assistance, free clothing, and basic household necessities to qualifying clients in need. PBMC helps clients improve their lifestyle by teaching home budgeting principles, including how to open a savings account, apply for SNAP Benefits, and seek free legal assistance with child support issues. Most importantly, PBMC provides an opportunity to hear about the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Saturday's event features an opportunity to watch finalists compete. Possible contestants sent in clips of themselves to a judging panel and the top acts will compete live Saturday. Voting online for the People's Choice Award is available now at odessasgottalent.com
