Robinson teen accused of armed robbery at Waco motorcycle repair shop

Waco Police arrested a 17-year-old from Robinson on Thursday after they believe he robbed a motorcycle repair shop and threatened the manager with what at first appeared to be a pistol, according to an arrest affidavit.

Jordan Javon Jones was arrested on a first-degree felony charge of aggravated robbery.

The manager at Andrews Cycle Works, 1701 La Salle Ave., told an officer he was working in the back of the shop when he heard a noise from the front and, when he went to check, saw a man heading toward the exit, according to Jones' arrest affidavit.

After noticing money missing from the register, the manager followed the man, later identified as Jones, outside toward a nearby transmission shop, the affidavit says.

While following Jones, the manager recorded him on his phone, and Jones reached into his waistband and pulled out what the manager believed was a black Glock-style pistol, according to the affidavit. Police reported they later determined the weapon was actually a pellet gun.

The manager then stopped following and called the police, who found Jones a few blocks away with the missing money and arrested him, the affidavit says.

Jones remained in McLennan County Jail on Friday with bail set at $25,000.
