Buc-ee has crossed the pond.

A stuffed animal of what appears to be the lovable beaver mascot that serves as the face of the popular Texas-based gas station chain — it’s more than a gas station though — was spotted in a viral video of the British royal family. In the video, Prince Louis, the youngest son of Prince William and Princess Kate, can be seen holding the toy, before passing off the beaver masquerading as Santa Claus to his father.

The video shared by TikTok user @about.london has been liked 1.3 million times and shared more than 50,000 times. It shows the young prince and his siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, leaving Christmas Day service on the Sandringham estate, according to the account.

And there could be a Fort Worth connection.

In another video, a TikTok user comments on an image of Prince Louie with the Buc-ee plushie.

“The concept that somebody, probably from Texas, stopped at a Buc-ee’s, bought that beaver Santa, and flew with it to the UK and then gave it to Prince Louis on Christmas is sending me,” she says in the video, which switches to a photo of the stuffed toy. “The idea that this beaver might be sitting in Buckingham Palace right now? One of the funniest things I’ve thought about in a long time. Do we think the royal family knows what Buc-ee’s is?”

In comment on the post, a woman writes: “My sister did indeed fly that Buc-ees Santa all the way to the UK from Fort Worth.”

Her only video as of Tuesday morning is a reveal-style video posted two days ago that features three Buc-ee’s bags holding the toys, as well as a “Merry Christmas Y’all” sign and some flowers, all for the royals. In a message, the user said she shared the video with the permission of her sister, who doesn’t have a TikTok account.

Rest assured, the Star-Telegram has reached out with an interview request for details and confirmation on whether the Buc-ee toy is indeed a DFW native and how it ended up overseas.

Did it snack on beaver nuggets during the long flight, or is Buc-ee more of a fudge fan? How do the toilets in Europe compare to the pristine bathrooms the gas station is known for?

The Star-Telegram has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment but did not immediately receive a response. We haven’t heard back from Buckingham Palace either — or “Buc-ee-ham Palace” the TikToker calls it — but stay tuned for updates on whether Texas’ favorite beaver has taken residence there or at one of the other royal estates. Perhaps Forest Lodge on Windsor Estate, where Prince William and Princess Kate reportedly live with their children?

A Buc-ee’s spokesperson declined to comment.
