‘What in the Breaking Bad?’ House for sale in Texas may trigger ‘trypophobia’
Want to get away from it all? Ever want to know what it feels like to live in a beehive? Like… dirt? A house for sale in Alpine, Texas, offers all three of those — and more.
Welcome to being so far off the grid, your Social Security number becomes just a suggestion. This home, which is listed for a very reasonable $215,000, is called “Eco-Ranch” and it’s been the star of numerous shows and been featured in magazines, the listing on Zillow says.
“The 20 acre, off-grid ranch features a two-bedroom, two-bathroom, 2700 square-foot home with laundry connection, kitchen, and front and rear patios powered by a new solar setup,” the listing says.
Oh, and there’s even a goat and poultry yard and a 1,600-square-foot greenhouse.
The property was highlighted on Zillow Gone Wild, a Facebook real estate page that showcases unique houses on the market and … well … people were torn.
“I just got done watching the first season of True Detective… and this looks… like something I’d see on there,” one person joked.
“Trypophobia is kicking in here,” another said about the design element incorporating walls of stacked bottles. Trypophobia is a fear of small cluster hole.
“Looks like a bee hive mansion,” someone noted.
“What in the Breaking Bad is this??? Ok, fine. I’ll take it,” one person said, referencing the Vince Gillian award-winning series.
Alpine is about a 80-mile drive north of the Mexico-United States border.
