A body found in a Texas lake has been identified as a 61-year-old woman, who police say most likely died in an accidental drowning, local news outlets reported.

A jogger at Woodlawn Lake Park discovered the body floating in the lake at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 25 near the park’s gym, according to KABB.

The medical examiner identified the person who died as 61-year-old Delilah Jimenez and said her death was most likely an accidental drowning, according to KSAT. Jimenez had been in the lake “a while” before her remains were found, police told the outlet.

The lake is six-feet deep, according to the city.

Another accident occurred about a month before Jimenez was found, when a driver crashed into the lake and was shot by police after he emerged wielding a knife, KENS reported.

Other bodies have been found in the lake over the years.

Corey Dents’ body was found in the lake the morning of Oct. 8, 2023 and had likely been there for days, according to police, KENS reported.
