Man finds his mom and brother fatally shot in home, Texas cops say. Relative charged
A 27-year-old man is accused of fatally shooting his grandmother and uncle in a Texas apartment, authorities say.
The discovery of their bodies was made by another relative, who told Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies he returned Feb. 18 to find his mother and brother unresponsive in a Houston home, according to a news release.
Alberta Ceazer, 76, and Emanuel Ceazer, 47, were pronounced dead at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds, the sheriff’s office said.
Neighbors said they heard “a verbal argument and commotion” near the home, deputies said, but a suspect was not identified at the time.
On Feb. 22, four days after the killings, Antoine McGee was charged with capital murder in the deaths of Alberta Ceazer, his grandma, and Emanuel Ceazer, his uncle, according to the sheriff.
A motive for the fatal shootings is unclear.
Alberta Ceazer was described by a loved one as “the nicest woman anyone could meet.” Emanuel Ceazer was her son, according to KRIV.
McGee was placed in the Harris County Jail, where his bond was denied, records show.
