‘Irate’ woman assaults driver while waiting in Taco Bell drive-thru, Texas cops say
A Taco Bell customer was assaulted by an “irate” woman while they were in the drive-thru line of the fast food restaurant, Texas authorities say.
Shaneah Thompson, 31, was in her vehicle outside a Taco Bell in Spring on Feb. 20 and “honking her horn excessively” at the driver in front of her, Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said on Facebook.
It’s unclear what led to their confrontation, as Thompson then exited her vehicle to approach the woman in front of her, authorities said.
Thompson called the victim racist slurs before hitting her in the chest twice with her closed fist, the constable said. She is also accused of damaging the woman’s vehicle.
As the victim tried to call 911, Thompson took her phone from her, according to the constable.
Deputies later detained Thompson, who they said had warrants for her arrest issued by the Southside Place Police Department.
Thompson was charged with assault and interfering with 911, authorities said. Criminal mischief charges are possible after a review of video evidence.
Spring is a northern suburb of Houston.
