Tiny pup found under dumpster is full of love — and ‘puppy breath.’ She needs a home
A pup with a zest for life and filled with love is on the lookout for a new home in Texas, an animal shelter said.
Brownie can be considered a handful — mainly because the tiny Chihuahua could actually fit in the palm of a hand — but thanks to her cuteness, all is forgiven.
“Hi I’m Brownie and I’m a little chihuahua mix weighing a big 4 pounds! My estimated birthday is November 23rd and was recently saved from under a dumpster in the alley,” the South Plains Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in Lubbock said in a Feb. 3 Facebook post written from Brownie’s perspective.
Brownie isn’t at the shelter, but instead she is in a foster home, living it up.
“I am loving life with my foster family and like to play with the other dogs and kids here! I’m very smart and have even taught myself to use the doggy door to go potty outside,” the shelter said. “Yes I am in the ‘toe biting’ stage of life but I’m also in the ‘adorable run, cute to carry around and snuggle with my puppy breath’ stage in my life.”
Only those who live in Lubbock County can adopt Brownie, and she cannot experience puppy parks, walks or go to any pet stores since she hasn’t had all her vaccinations yet, the shelter noted.

Lubbock is about a 315-mile drive northwest from Fort Worth.
