Great American Family, the company behind “County Rescue,” released this statement on Fornes’ death:

“We at Great American Media are deeply saddened by the passing of Keller Fornes. He was a special person and talent as an actor, writer, and director as well as a singer and musician. His energy and enthusiasm lifted all he worked with here at Great American Media and the cast and crew of County Rescue. Our prayers are with his family and all those he touched,” the statement read.

Additionally, a few of Fornes’ collaborators on “County Rescue” shared statements on his death.

“I loved being on set with Keller, he often shared his gratitude for being invited to work on a faith-based TV series and said it meant a lot to him,” show producer JD DeWitt said. “We know he’s a precious gift to his family and for us at County Rescue, he is forever leaving the beautiful gift of his talent and the joy he had while creating the show with us. He will be incredibly missed.”

“Keller was truly a beautiful soul,” co-star Kristin Wollett said. “His inquisitive nature and genuine curiosity drove him to seek understanding — always asking questions and wanting to know why things were the way they were. He had a deep love for life.”

“Working with and knowing Keller was a gift I will hold close to my heart forever, and one of the greatest honors for the rest of my life will be sharing his final day on set together in late October of this past year for our season two shoot,” co-star Julia Reilly said. “He was an incredible scene partner, but his heart and his friendship exceeded his remarkable talents.”

Fornes completed his scenes on the second season of “County Rescue” before his death. The show will return with new episodes sometime this year.
