A woman who authorities say was in a Whataburger bathroom for hours is accused of leaving her fetus in a toilet, according to Texas deputies and news reports.

Mallori Patrice Strait, 33, had been in the lobby of a Whataburger in San Antonio for two hours before entering the restroom on Thursday, Dec. 19, KSAT reported, citing the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

She locked herself in a bathroom stall “for several hours” and was heard making loud noises before a manager called 911, according to an affidavit obtained by KENS.

Deputies discovered “human-like material” in the bathroom, which authorities said was Strait’s premature baby girl, according to KTSA.

The fetus was pronounced dead at a hospital, KABB reported. Strait was believed to be 28 to 30 weeks pregnant when she gave birth.

Authorities said Strait had tried to flush the fetus down the toilet, according to KSAT.

“I’m sorry, I’m not selfish,” she is accused of telling firefighters at the scene, KENS reported.

Strait was charged with abuse of a corpse, court records show. She was jailed on a $10,000 bond.
