Ex-boyfriend breaks into mobile home, attacks woman and man with machete, Texas cops say
A Texas man accused of attacking two people with a machete was arrested after an hours-long manhunt, according to officials.
On Nov. 17, the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an aggravated assault, according to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office. Officials said they were looking for the suspect, Elpidio DeLeon Gonzalez.
Gonzalez broke into a mobile home behind a grocery store in Shiro and stabbed his ex-girlfriend and a man with a machete, according to the Navasota Examiner.
Gonzalez fled the scene and was arrested five hours later when he was found over 250 miles away in Corpus Christi, KHOU reported.
The man and woman were both flown to a hospital, the Navasota Examiner reported. Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell told the news outlet that one victim is critical and the other is “in more than critical condition.”
Attorney information was not listed for Gonzalez.
