A Texas woman was arrested after police say they found her toddler inside her car, which was towed while she was at a nightclub.

The 29-year-old Houston woman was arrested Oct. 21 on a child endangerment charge, court records show.

McClatchy News is not naming the mother to protect the identity of her child.

Houston police said the woman’s 3-year-old child was left sleeping “unattended in an illegally parked car at night” while she was “drinking at a nightclub,” according to a criminal complaint.

Authorities said the car was then “towed away with the child inside,” court records show.

The tow company found the toddler, KPRC reported.

The woman was released on a $7,500 bond, court records show. She is due back in court Dec. 4.
