Hurricane Helene leaves behind damage, millions without power. How Texans can help
Hurricane Helene made landfall as a Category 4 storm in northwest Florida late Thursday.
Helene was downgraded to a Category 1 storm early Friday and was lowered to tropical storm by mid-morning. In total, there has been 22 storm-related deaths reported across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, according to NBC News.
The National Hurricane Center said Helene is expected to continue moving over the Southeast Friday, bringing damaging winds to portions of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky.
