75-year-old woman fatally shoots 66-year-old neighbor during fight, Texas cops say

A 75-year-old woman is accused of fatally shooting her neighbor after they were involved in an argument, Texas authorities say.

The 66-year-old victim, whose name was not disclosed in a July 2 news release, was found by officers June 27 lying in a residential street with multiple gunshot wounds, the Houston Police Department said.

He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and was eventually pronounced dead, police said.

The investigation revealed the man’s neighbor, 75-year-old Barbara Jean Blue, shot him during an undisclosed argument, according to police.

Blue was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said. Upgraded charges are possible.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
