A 16-year-old was sitting in his car after a late-night shift at Texas Roadhouse in San Antonio when shots rang out, police said and news outlets reported.

Shortly after midnight on June 10, the teen left the restaurant and walked to his car, San Antonio police said. As he sat in his car ready to leave, six gunshots were fired at him, according to police.

Two of the bullets struck the 16-year-old — one in his leg and another in his right hand, police and WOAI reported. The motive of the attack is unknown, according to police.

The teen was taken to the hospital but is expected to recover, according to police and KTSA.

Police say they do not know who shot at the car, nor do they have a description.
