Missing 15-year-old girl found and is ‘home and safe,’ Texas family says
UPDATE: A missing 15-year-old Texas girl, Iza Rodriguez, has been found, her family says.
Five days after she disappeared from her San Antonio home, Rodriguez “is home and safe,” her sister, Gwen Laporte, said in a May 31 Facebook post.
Family and officials did not say where the teen was while they were searching for her.

A missing Texas teen left her phone behind before she vanished, and her family is scared for her safety after seeing what’s on it, news outlets report.
Iza Rodriguez, 15, disappeared on Sunday, May 26, her family told WOAI.
San Antonio police are searching for her, her family told the station, adding that they’ve also spoken to Rodriguez’s friends, but none seem to know where she might be. One of the only clues is her phone, somehow forgotten or intentionally left at their home.
What they found on the device is far from comforting, her sister, Gwen Laporte, said in a Facebook post.
“We are scared because of what we’ve discovered on her phone that was left behind,” she said, sharing a missing person flyer. “Please call 911 if you’ve seen her or crossed paths.”
Leading up to her disappearance, Rodriguez had been talking to a stranger she met online, her family told KENS.
“With each day that passes it gets … scarier, the thoughts of where she is, or who’s she with or where she could be,” Laporte told the station.
She says her sister took a few belongings with her but no clothes, and the back door to the home had been left open, the outlet reported.
“Please come home. We miss her, we love her,” Laporte said. “I don’t know if she thinks that she’s gone this far, that she might be in more trouble. Like just come home. We’re very worried about her.”
Rodriguez stands 5 feet, 3 inches and has black hair, according to the flyer shared by Laporte. Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Antonio Police Department at 210-207-7660.
